Otaku-Ya! Artist Alley Review I want to start out by saying that I had a really great time at this little con. My sister and sister-in-law came with me, and we goofed off and had a blast all day. It was a one-day convention in Jacksonville, FL. While it was bigger than my last one-day con, I ended up making about the same amount of money. Most orders were buttons, and it didn’t seem like anyone was really interested in buying art. It was a risk I knew I was making, but I didn’t actually attend this con with making a profit in mind. (good thing too, as it was the first convention in 9 years that I didn’t break even.) I went to test out my new display. I’ve been tweaking everything and I think I’ve finally gotten it down. Setup was really easy, and I can fit everything into one suitcase. The display itself is a small photography backdrop display, and hardly weighs anything. Way better than the pvc I was using before. Needless to say, it worked out even better than I planned.  So with all of this in mind, I think this will be my last one-day convention. I’m gonna stick to the larger ones from here on out. :)
